Who We are

AFA Financial was founded in 1975. We manage individual stock portfolios by means of an investment discipline we call The Yield Method of Investing.  Our clients are individuals, corporations, pension and profit-sharing plans, endowments, trusts, 401K plans and IRA rollover accounts.

Our Investment Philosophy

We must produce an acceptable rate of return for our clients while, at the same time, protecting them against serious losses.

Our Investment Strategy

Controlling risk is an essential part of successful investing.  We control risk through careful stock selection, diversification, and adherence to firm buy/sell targets.  We set profit targets that we consider adequate and safe, over a reasonable period of time.  If we don't reach the target after holding it a reasonable time, we sell it and invest in another stock.

If for reasons other than a widespread downturn movement of the entire market, a stock declines 20%, we sell it.
